Earn Money While Surfing the Net

Some of you may not know but there is a way to earn money while surfing the net and the only effort you need to do is search and search… This is different from the annoying spam mail you may have received in the past which always say that a certain software company is monitoring the mail and will eventually pay the sender if he or she sends the same mail to his/her friends.. duh! do u actually believe that? well, what this service is offering is a bit more convincing and straight forward since the only thing you need to do to earn money is by using their search engine (which is actually using yahoo search engine) and make a search for anything.. yah, thats it.. for every search you make, they will pay an equivalent amount based on the number of searches you make for the day… as simple as that.. you just need to follow 2 simple steps.

  1. Register with your name, country and e-mail address
  2. Make it your homepage

You will see your earnings for the day only after each business day… You can even forward it to your friends and if they register under your account, you will earn a certain percentage from their earnings as well… sounds tempting, right?

You maybe wondering if I already earned anything from this service? As of this writing, I have 12.03 pounds in my account.. yes, it is in british pounds, and you need to earn a minimum of 20.00 pounds before they can actually pay you… for me, I started last June 30 and I only do my searching during my free time…. but if you have plenty of time to spare then this is the best way to spend it.. a good money making habit…

If ever I receive my first pay check for this service, I will update my blog and write a testimonial about it… so keep visiting my site for the latest updates.. :o)

So what are you waiting for? Click me and register… then start searching those magic words you use in scrabble and boggles.. there is no harm in trying.. at least the efforts can be converted into cash… hehehe…

happy searching! :o)

2008 Beijing Olympics

1 more day to go before the 2008 Beijing Olympics kicks off. About 10,500 athletes from around the world will gather in this quadrennial event to compete in 302 events in 28 sports and to promote Pierre de Coubertin’s ideals:

“The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not to win but to take part, just as the most important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle. The essential thing is not to have conquered but to have fought well.”

But how did the olympics become the olympics we know today?
Olympics started in Olympia, Greece in 776 BC which was considered the 1st year of olympiad(a period of 4 years) and during this ancient times, only young men are allowed to participate. Competitors were usually nude as it was held on a summer season, that is why it was also called Summer Olympics. The victor will be given honor and prestige for being in first place and would also be presented with a crown of olive leaves. The olive branch is a sign of hope and peace. The same tradition is being practice today but instead of olive branch, they give gold (1st place), silver (2nd place) and bronze (3rd place) as recognition to the best 3 contenders of every event.

The first modern olympics was held in Athens, Greece in 1896 and tomorrow, August 08, 2008, Beijing China, with a total of 37 venues (including 12 newly constructed venues) will be the 40th city to host the events (2010 Winter Olympics will be held in Vancouver, Canada). The centrepiece of the 2008 Summer Olympics will be the Beijing National Stadium, nicknamed the “Bird’s Nest” because of its nest-like skeletal structure.

I am not an olympics fanatic but this time around i will try to spare time to watch some of the sporting events not in Beijing but in a 40″ LCD TV (courtesy of my friend) at the comforts of our sofa in our humble domicile to see how well and glamorous this prestigious event is.. But why am i writing this blog? naah! This is just to inform u guys that come November of this year, i will be on a plane together with 3 of my friends en route to Beijing for a vacation trip… And by watching the olympics, we will have an idea on what other places we can visit aside from the historical wonders of Beijing… Well, this is more of a pre-Beijing trip blog.. hehehe… (so pls watch out for it)

anyways, goodluck to all athletes, especially my fellow pinoys.. hope we can win our first gold… may all of us adhere the universal values of the olympic spirit not just during every olympics but everyday - unity, friendship, progress, harmony, participation and dream..

‘goodbye suklay’

Juseleeno Nobulega DaRoose, to believe or not to believe

i was clearing my inbox with unread mails from yahoo when i noticed an email which i think may have been circulating for quite sometime now… it is about the predictions of a Brazilian teacher Juseleeno Nobulega DaRoose and one of his shocking prediction is about an 8.1 earthquake which will hit the Philippines on 18th of July 2008 (which is 10 days from now)… i am not a believer of ‘manghuhula’ so i decided to consult Mr. Google about the credibility of this person, however, most of the results returned are bloggers giving their own comments and opinions about these fearless forecasts… cannot confirm if all these are true or is it another spam mail.. no solid information or facts about this person were found (or maybe because i am just too lazy to do my homework…)

anyway, i believe that a man’s free will dictates what he will become in the future, but mother nature is not for us to control so we are at her mercy. let us just keep our faith, always be ready for anything and pray that these predictions will not happen or else it will be another power punch to our typhoon stricken motherland and to the rest of the world as well…

since it is a long article, i will only attach the first parts and the predictions for 2008-2010 to give you an idea of who he was and what were his predictions.. i will live everything to you to decide whether to believe it or not…

Mr. Juseleeno Nobulega DaRoose is Brazilian, born in 1960, 47 years old now, his occupation is a teacher, he is a normal citizen, having a very poor life with his wife and kids. All the events which Mr. Juselleno predicted had clear indication of the year, month date of the disasters, incase any third party wants to confirm the facticity of his prophesy, Mr. Juselleno always put the story which he predicted to the notarization office or post office for the approval.

Somebody asked him, how old did he start the prophesy dream, he answered: 9 years old, from 1969, he dreamed 3 events a day, sometimes 9 events, the times he dreamed is different every day. He said all the prophesy dreams were automatically in his dream. When Mr.Juseleeno was 19 years old, he met the famous Brazilian prophesy Saint Mr. Franciscoshabiz , after that the worldwide disaster events were increased in his prophesy dream. Mr. Franciscoshabiz was two times the candidate for the Nobel Prize, he is a very famous differential functional person, at the same time he is also the Charitarian. The events which Mr. Juseleeno predicted are already more than 80000, firstly let’s look at below a
few big worldwide events and huge disaster from his prophesy.

2008
- Will find the medicine for AIDS and Dengue
- 18th July, Philippines will get 8.1 earthquake, thousands people will die
- The Empire State Building New York will get terror attack in September.
- 13th of September, China will get 9.1 earthquake in Nanning and Hainan, at the same time will get 30 meters Tsunami, millions people will die, the tsunami may go to Japan directly.

2009
- 25th January: 8.9 earthquake will hit Japan, hundreds of thousands of people will die.
- November: Japan will be hit by an earthquake again. Thousands of people will die in this disaster.
- Brazilian government cannot pay the insurance because of financal problems. Riots will occur.
- 24th August: Istanbul, Turkey will be hit by a 8.9 earthquake. The road will be parted.
- 16th December: Sumatra, Indonesia will be hit by a 7.8 earthquake. Thousands of people will die.

2010
- The temperature will reach 58 degrees in many countries of Africa. At the same time, there will a lack of water.
- The temperature in Africa will reach 58 degrees. It is an unbelievable number, but in May 2007, people who travelled around Africa said the temperature in Greece and Turkey was already 39-40 degrees, Iraq and Arabia was about 45-46 degrees. It is possible to happen in the summer but not in May. We can imagine that in the summer of 2010, the world will become warmer and Africa will get the high temperature.

3 years ago on this same day, i first set my foot in Lion City. kasama ko dapat ang 2 kaibigang babae, baon namin ang aming mga pangarap na makakahanap ng trabaho sa bansang Singapore at mabigyan ng magandang buhay ang pamilyang maiiwan sa bansang Pilipinas.. syempre, excited ako nang mga panahong iyon pero kinakabahan din at the same time… bakit excited? dahil first time ko mag-travel overseas plus first time ko rin mag-international flight (usually kasi domestic flights lang via PAL at Cebu Pacific)…

kung bakit naman ako kinakabahan ay dahil sa maraming dahilan… una, dahil hindi ako sure kung makakalusot ako sa immigration at papayagan akong makalabas ng bansa bilang isang turista, lalo na kapag nalaman nila na ang return ticket ko ay after 35 days pa.. policy kasi sa mga turistang pupunta ng Singapore na kapag more than 30 days ang return trip ay kailangan magpakita ng Letter of Invitation galing sa kamag-anak o kaibigan na nasa Singapore… pangalawa, kahit IT professional ako, hindi pa rin ako sure kung makakahanap ako ng work sa singapore.. pangatlo, in case na mabigo ako sa singapore, wala na akong babalikang trabaho sa pinas dahil nagresign na ako (June 30 ang last day ko)… anyway, ano man ang mangyari, charged to experience na lang, ganon talaga e… that is part of life.. life is a gamble.. if it is for me, then lucky me… :o)

‘may work ka ba dito?’ tanong nya ulit.. ‘uyy, sa CCP ka pala nagwo-work, ano work mo don?’…

‘Welcome to Singapore’.. sabi ng Pilot Captain…

‘what is your purpose of visit in Singapore?‘, tanong ng immigration officer.. ‘visiting friends and relatives‘, taas noong sagot ko.. ‘why are you staying for 35 days?‘, tanong nya ulit.. shit! patay na.. ‘uhmmm.. (medyo utal) because, my mother will also visit singapore, i will wait for her before i go back‘.. sagot ko uli.. tumingin sa akin yung babaeng officer, ‘i can only give you 30 days, if u want to extend your stay, you need to go to ICA‘, takatak! sabay tatak sa passport ko.. yes! step 2 success… whew! parang huminto ang mundo ko ng 5 segundo..

Lost in Translation

mga tsong at tsang, mga bro and sis, reminder lang, produkto lang ito ng mapaglarong isipan at kawalan ng magawa sa opisina… anumang pagkakahawig sa totoong buhay ng taong kilala nyo ay pawang pagkakataon lamang at hindi sinasadyang ilathala sa blog na ito… hope you like it, cheers!

it was a busy boring afternoon in the office, waiting for my beloved client users to report application related problems and issues… i cannot think of anything to do, i need to kill time and to make myself occupied so i decided to get a cup of coffee… i was on my way to the pantry and when i reached the first corner, a bare headed gentleman sitting in the mobile area was having a casual conversation with another person sitting next to him.. as i passed by in between them, i caught their attention and then this guy called me up and asked for my opinion on what they were discussing… at that same moment, he jokingly introduced me to the other person… a lady in red blouse, in her late twenties with long black hair, a magnet like smile and a beautiful pair of china eyes… quiet yet so bubbly, smart and cheerful are my first impressions of her… i stood there for a while throwing my own views on the topic.. after a few more minutes, i went on to get my coffee and returned to my humble workstation… i didnt expect that from that point onwards, it will be the beginning of something worth remembering… a new chapter in the biography of a man whom at his age, still seeks what he wants to do in his life, a man lost in translation..

my day at work starts with daily monitoring of morning batch jobs, attending technical discussions, reading and responding to emails.. then the rest of day will be consumed in solving simple to brain draining application problems and my most hated part, answering the annoying desk phone with the nasty user on the other line, grrrr… in between this busy schedule, i would steal a minute of my time to get a cup of steroids in the form of coffee.. on the same route, on the same area, i will occassionally see the same girl i met recently… as i pass by her place, i will always say ‘HI’ and she will answer back with a ‘HELLO’ plus the sweet sugar smile… ooooh… i think she’s ute…

it continued on for several days, unknowingly making it a habit every late afternoon… until at one point, she asked for my corporate mailing ID so we can chat on the company’s instant messaging system (similar to yahoo and icq)… it draws a smile in my face and sees it as an opportunity for me to know her better…

from acquaintances, we became friends.. we usually begin our simple conversations in the afternoon, trading stories of life and arguing on senseless issues, the same casual conversation we had when i first met her… it went on like this for days and even weeks, until the exchange of thoughts were no longer limited within the boundaries of our workplace…

we traded contact numbers and extended our communication outside the work area… aside from the usual instant messaging in the office, we can now express our thoughts privately through the numeric keypad of the mobile phone and not the traditional qwerty keyboard of the computer, away from prying eyes of our office colleagues… we still converse on the same genre, lovelife, family life and anything under the sun… as the level of friendship moves up, we began to know more about each other, the “what you like, what i like” kind of things… the first impressions i saw in her remains the same… and as i learn more things about her, i am starting to feel uneasy, worried and confused… a feeling which i myself cannot define…

but life is really full of surprises.. who would ever think that the friendly relationship we have put up within a small period of time will come to an end… an end that will change not just our lives, but the lives of others as well… are we at the wrong place and at the wrong time? does this mean that things will never be the same again? will it be for the better or for the worst? i dont know.. only time will tell…

<to be continued…>

Art of Photography

PHOTOGRAPHY. what is it with Photography at maraming tao ang nahuhumaling sa ganitong hobby? nagtanong ako kay pareng webster at mareng wikipedia pero lubhang napakalalim ng kanilang mga sagot, medyo scientific at technical ang explanation kaya hindi ko na isusulat dito dahil baka ma-boring lang kayo.. anyway, nagpa-imbestiga ako kay Google at eto ang nakalap nya.. medyo marami siyang inilatag na impormasyon so i will just make it concise based on what i understand.

‘”Photography is a powerful means of communication and a mode of visual expression that touches human life in every ways. Most photographs taken today are snapshots –casual records to document personal events such as vacations, birthdays, and weddings. For most people, photography is a satisfying hobby or a rewarding career. “

satisfying hobby? uhmmm, maybe.. maybe not.. i still dont know… i will answer this question in due time… kung bakit? dahil isa ako sa mga taong nahikayat pasukin ang libangan na ito pero ako ay nagsisimula pa lang.. isa po akong neophyte… i decided to explore this art to add esteem to my blogs and to document my travel adventures… it will be the perfect combo to entertain readers of this site…

now as a photo enthusiast, i need a weapon to accompany me in this new journey.. and my weapon of choice - the Canon EOS 450D…  i just bought one last 12th of June 2008,  1st day of PC Show in Suntec City Singapore… it took me sometime before i decided to spoil my money for this gadget… i spent hours and hours of research through the internet (ginagawa ko ito during office hours, hehehe…) to find the best suitable camera for a beginner like me and to equip myself with the basic know-how when it comes to photography…

anyway, i am not here to lecture about photography… i just want to share that this is not a money friendly hobby… the camera kit alone costs 1.5K SGD (around PHP 45,000.00)… and it doesnt stop there.. if you really want to be serious in this field, one must be financially capable in feeding your camera with accessories ranging from lenses to filters and flashes and a lot more… well, for me, i will just keep it as a hobby, mahirap na at baka mabaon lang ako sa utang dahil sa pagbili ng mga nagmamahalang accessories lalo na ang mga lenses… hehehe… siguro kapag natutunan ko na lahat ng mga dapat kong matutunan, i can shift from a novice to an amateur to a professional photographer.. who knows? baka mag-iba na lang ako ng career kapag nangyari iyon.. hehehe.. anyway, matagal pa yon… let us take things one step at a time… currently, nasa getting to know each other pa lang kami ng camera ko so i am still in the elementary level..

so sa mga shutterbugs dyan… please welcome me to your club, i hope we can share tips, techniques and ideas… and for those who are planning to make this as a past time.. uhmmm.. test the waters before dragging yourself in it.. baka mamaya hindi nyo calling ang hobby na ito, masayang lang ang pera ninyo… in any case, it is still you who will decide… as long as you are enjoying it, go for it…

happy shooting! :o)
